This is one that used to be on the recommended reading list for college bound students. I didn't read it until years after I graduated, but it was still interesting. This is something that isn't going to get into the stuff about the various ladies he was linked with over the years, at least not to such an extent that it wouldn't have been approved by school boards 30 years ago, but it is filled with the kind of experiences that a younger person would appreciate, such as his need to get away from Boston and his frustration with the constraints of apprenticeship.
