I have a friend who has an air rifle (bb gun) that is madeb by benjamin franklin and its a model 340 any info?

I t says benjamin on the very back of the barrel but on the side in quotation marks it says benjamin franklin and on the other dide it says bb caliber model 340 and i cant find any info on it or how much it is worth.

    That’s a very common and understandable misconception.

    What you have is a Benjamin model 340(made from 1969-1986) It is a smooth bore designed to shoot steel BBs.

    There is not now, nor has there ever been a "Benjamin Franklin" air rifle company – The BF in quotes is a play on the company name, NOT the actual name of the company.

    The "Benjamin Franklin" stamped on the left side of the receiver, in quotes, was a joke.

    You will find Benjamin Air Rifle Company stamped on the end cap

    If your Benjamin 340 is working, it’s worth $75-$100
